How it works

A simple routine. A little less worry.

Choose the days that work for your family. Your parent answers the phone they already know.

  1. We call

    Their phone rings

An automated, conversational call reaches your parent on the days and at the time you choose. Weekly, a few days a week, or every day.

Example · On the call“Good morning, Margaret — how did you sleep?”
  2. We listen

    There’s time to talk

A friendly conversation about their day gives them space to share how they’re feeling — from a good night’s sleep to an ache worth mentioning.

Example · Noted todaySounded a little tired · mentioned her knee again
  3. We alert

    You stay in the loop

Your family gets a heads-up when something needs attention, plus a weekly summary. Useful context for your own calls and visits.

Example · Text to youMom seemed more tired than usual today. You may want to check in.
For long-distance caregivers

Feel closer, even from far away.

You can’t always be there. A clear update gives you something more useful than wondering how their day went.

  • A heads-up with context. See what was mentioned or when a check-in was missed, so you can decide how to follow up.
  • A weekly summary. Catch up on their week without reading through every conversation.
  • Everyone in the loop. Invite siblings and other family members into your care circle.

Questions, answered

The questions families ask us first.

Who makes the calls?

Kintalks uses an automated, AI-powered voice to have a friendly conversation with your parent. It isn’t a human caregiver. Calls arrive on their existing phone, on the days and at the time you choose.

Will my parent know what they’re signing up for?

Yes. An introductory call explains the service and asks for their agreement before regular check-ins begin. Talk with your parent beforehand so they know to expect that first hello.

Does my parent need an app, a smartphone, or a new device?

No. Calls come to their existing landline or mobile. There’s no new device or app for your parent. You manage the schedule and family updates through your Kintalks account.

What happens if they don’t answer?

If we can’t reach your parent on a scheduled call day, your family gets a heads-up. A missed call doesn’t tell us why they didn’t answer, so you decide how to follow up. Kintalks does not provide emergency response.

How will I know if something’s wrong?

When a conversation surfaces something that may need attention, your family receives an alert with context. You also get a weekly summary. Choose your notification preferences in your account. Check-ins don’t detect every problem and don’t replace your own care or medical advice.

What is a telephone reassurance program?

A telephone reassurance program is a service that places regular, scheduled calls to an older adult — usually daily — to confirm they’re safe and to ease the isolation of living alone. If a call goes unanswered, a family member or emergency contact is alerted. You may also hear them called friendly-caller programs, check-in calls, or wellness calls. Kintalks is a modern version: a warm daily call, plus alerts and a weekly summary for the family.

Are there free daily check-in calls for seniors?

Yes — many Area Agencies on Aging, sheriff’s departments, and nonprofits run free check-in call programs, and they’re worth looking into. The trade-offs are that availability depends on where your parent lives, hours and staffing vary, waitlists are common, and most won’t notify your family when something seems off. Kintalks is a paid service (plans from $9 a month, with a free trial) built for families who want a call at the same time on the days you choose and a same-day heads-up when something changes.

Who is Kintalks for?

Families caring for an aging parent or loved one who lives alone or far away. It’s built for the adult child who can’t call every single day but still wants to know someone is checking in, with warmth and real attention.

How much does it cost, and is there a free trial?

Light Touch is $9 a month for one call day a week. Regular Check-in is $19 a month for up to three days a week. Daily Hello is $39 a month for every day. Each plan covers one loved one and includes family alerts and a weekly summary. There’s no charge during the free trial. A card is required before calls begin; your account shows the trial end date and billing details before you confirm. Cancel anytime.

What happens after I click Start free trial?

First, share your contact details, your parent’s phone number and your preferred plan. Then continue to your account to verify your email and finish setup, including billing and the call schedule. Completing the website form alone does not start calls.

Is my family’s information private and HIPAA-aligned?

Yes. Health-related details are handled under HIPAA-aligned safeguards with strict access controls, calls and summaries are encrypted in transit and at rest, and your information is never sold. You decide exactly who is in the care circle, and you can change it anytime.

Is Kintalks a medical or emergency service?

No. Kintalks provides warm daily check-in calls and is not a medical or emergency service. In an emergency, always call 911.
