Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026

Kintalks helps families stay close to the people they love through a warm daily phone call. Protecting the trust you place in us — and the privacy of your family — is central to everything we build. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

  • Account details — your name, email address, and password so you can manage your care circle.
  • Loved one details — the name, phone number, and call preferences of the family member you connect.
  • Care circle details — the names and contact methods of anyone you invite to receive updates.
  • Call information — summaries, timestamps, and well-being signals generated from each daily call.
  • Billing information — handled securely by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to place the daily call, generate post-call summaries, send the alerts and weekly recaps you have opted into, provide customer support, and keep the service secure. We may use anonymised, aggregated data to improve Kintalks. We never sell your information, and we never use it for third-party advertising.

How we share information

We share information only with the service providers who help us operate — such as telephony, hosting, and payment partners — under contract and only to the extent needed to deliver Kintalks. We may disclose information when required by law, or when necessary to protect the safety of a person. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Data storage and security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Any health-related information shared during or about a call is handled under HIPAA-aligned safeguards, including role-based access controls and audit logging. Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States with reputable cloud providers.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information at any time, and you decide exactly who is in your care circle. You may close your account whenever you wish. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of California and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws have additional rights that we honour on request.

Children’s privacy

Kintalks is intended for adults arranging care for the people they love. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here and adjust the date above. When changes are material, we will give you clear notice before they take effect.
